Sidney Schanberg, a journalist for the New York Times, is one of the few reporters to remain in Cambodia after the Khmer Rouge takeover of Phnom Penh. The intervention of his assistant Dith Pran saved his life. Pran was arrested and Schanberg returned to the United States as repression swept through Cambodia.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Jon Swain, curator of the ‘April 1975, Phnom Penh – Saigon’ exhibition
